Have you ever wanted to play a bigger part in your football club?

Well, with the close season underway, and the preparations for 2019/20 season set to begin, there is a fresh opportunity for you to be more involved. Over the past year, I have been doing what I can to try and provide more exposure to the Crystal Palace Ladies, providing articles and interviews for our fans to digest and learn from. I have openly spoken about the sheer enjoyment I have had from becoming a part of the CPLFC Loyal, and almost going back to my supporting roots for games down at Hayes Lane. As I have previously mentioned, my CPLFC journey began last summer when I made the choice to sponsor a player. I am proud to say that with my self-published book The Lost King(yes I am an author and yes it is available on Amazon), I was the sponsor of originally Fran Ali, and then after her departure, Hope Nash. I loved being a sponsor, it is something I have wanted to do for some time, and I will be so again next season. The great news, is that you all have the chance to join me as one!

Having spoken with the club, I can confirm that there are plenty of various opportunities to be a sponsor for the new season. So whether you are a business looking for some extra promotion, or just a fan wishing to play your part, then I encourage you to get involved. The women's game is growing, year by year. There is a real drive now to push it forward onto a bigger scale, and this brings with it bigger opportunities. Both the Women's Super League and the Championship are starting to get more coverage on TV with a highlight show straight after Match of the Day. The FA Cup final was covered by the BBC, and the Champions League is starting to get more coverage too. The BBC have also been running a programme following West Ham Ladies this season, which again provides more coverage for the sport. Abroad, movements are starting to happen. In the US, the women's game has always been quite big, but now that is catching fire in Europe too. Just a month or two ago, Juventus Ladies played a home game at the Allianz Stadium, pulling in a record 39,000 crowd. With the Women's World Cup set to get underway, and our England Lionesses looking to build on their SheBelieves Cup victory, further advancement and coverage could be made before the new season starts.

At the Palace, there is a chance to be a part of something passionate and exciting. After years of working their way up the leagues, last season the Ladies competed in their first ever Championship season. Given the lack of preparation the FA provided us, the fact the team managed to finish 10th out of 11 was quite an achievement, and it has given both the players and the staff some fantastic experience as they prepare for season two. Last season saw a couple of bumper crowds at Hayes Lane, firstly from the visit of Champions League Semi Finalists Chelsea in the cup, and then from eventual Championship Champions, Man Utd, with around 950 fans in attendance. For our last home game of the season, the venue was switched to Selhurst, giving the ladies a much deserved game at a Premier League ground, and in return saw a record crowd of just under 1,000 attend for a South London derby against Charlton. We genuinely have the best atmosphere in the league, hands down, something that many visiting teams have commented on. We also have a team that works their socks off, and gives everything for the shirt, no matter what the odds. For those who have grown up with that feeling our club is a special one, the same very much goes for the Ladies team too.

The hope is that in the coming season, we are able to kick on, pushing for a much higher place in the table, and maybe a cheeky cup run too, as the club continues to grow. So how can you be a part of it? Well, the following are some brief examples of how you or your company could become a sponsor:

- Home Match Day Back Of Shirt Sponsor(£10k)

- Away Match Day Back Of Shirt Sponsor(£10k)

- Shirt Sleeve Sponsor(£5k)

- Take Over Days: (Depending on the match £1.5k - £2K) Ownership of the match (except where required by contract or license) programme, promotion, hospitality, mascots. plus also provides free football to all spectators for the day.

- Sponsor a Player(£250 per player): The entire first team are currently available. You get your logo next to the player on the website and in the programme. There is a photo opportunity with the player. Last season it also included a season ticket, and invitation to sponsor events(I am not sure if that is the same this season).

As I say, personally I will be sponsoring a player again. I would love to be able to do further sponsorship, but unless I become a number one best seller, my bank balance won't allow it! Plenty of people are getting involved through their love for the club. Andy Davis through massive generosity, sponsored many players across different squads last season. CPFC USA sponsored the entire goalkeeping department, having raised the funds among their members. The Development team, league winners this season, were sponsored by Sydenham Scrap Metals. So, as you can see, there are plenty who already are involved, but more are always welcome.

The best way to find out more information on the packages available, and the benefits that come with them, please contact club secretary Paula Johnson on her email [email protected] - where further details can be provided.

So go on, what are you waiting for? Make contact today, support the Ladies and become a part of the CPLFC family!!
